You can install Mercado Pago Tarjetas through the Shopify panel or via Marketplace, choose the option that best suits your needs.

Once the application is installed, it is necessary to link the Shopify store with your Mercado Pago account. This way, you can complete the necessary adjustments so that payments with Mercado Pago Tarjetas are processed securely.

Below you can see the step-by-step process to complete this configuration.

1. Within the Mercado Pago Tarjetas Configuration in Shopify, click Manage account to access the Mercado Pago environment and begin the linking process.

2. Within the Mercado Pago Admin Panel for Shopify, click Start linking to begin the process. You need to log in; if you are already connected, you can skip this step.

3. Choose the Mercado Pago account you want to link to the store:

• In my Mercado Pago account: Select this option if you are the store owner.
• In someone else's account: Select this option if you are a developer and are implementing this solution for third parties.

4. Click Link account and accept the necessary permissions so that Mercado Pago can process payments securely and seamlessly. The linking will be executed automatically and may take a few seconds.

5. After completing the linking, click Activate app.

6. Click Go to settings to return to the Shopify panel.

7. In the store's admin panel, click Activate to activate Mercado Pago Tarjetas.

8. In Settings > Payments, look for "Payment capture method" and ensure that the Automatically at checkout field is enabled to guarantee that payments are captured when the order is placed.

9. In Checkout > Customer contact method and ensure that the "Email" field is selected as the contact method customers must provide to receive order notifications. Using email as a contact method is mandatory to process payments with Mercado Pago.

The Mercado Pago Tarjetas application has been successfully installed and configured, and it is now ready to process payments from your store directly into your Mercado Pago account.

After installing and activating the Mercado Pago Tarjetas application, configure in one place the options for installments, commissions, and crediting time frame for payments processed with Mercado Pago. This configuration is done from the Mercado Pago Admin Panel for Shopify.

1. In the Shopify store admin panel, go to Settings > Payments.

2. Under Mercado Pago Tarjetas, click Manage.

3. The Mercado Pago Admin Panel for Shopify will open. Click on Cuotas y comisiones.

4. Within Configuration, you will see all your available payment methods as well as the options to configure commissions, crediting time frame, and installments for credit cards.

5. Select the payment method you want to change the crediting time frame for and if you want to offer installments on the credit card.

6. Choose the installments you want to offer in the Shopify store.

7. Click Save configuration.

8. You can define the minimum amounts for each installment term on the same screen. Fill in the amounts for each available option and click Save minimum amounts again to apply the changes.
