External redirect opening scheme
The opening scheme defines how the checkout will be displayed to the buyer. Checkout Pro offers two modes:
- Redirect (default): redirects the buyer within the same browser window.
- External redirect: opens the checkout in a new window or tab.
Make sure to configure the return URLs when creating the order. Without them, buyers will not be automatically redirected back to your website after payment. See Configure return URLs for more details.
To configure the external redirect, use the checkout_url value obtained in the response to the Create orderAPI and include it in your project's frontend with the target="_blank" attribute to open the checkout in a new window or tab.
